If anyone is sitting on a good 03-04 636 motor, PM me. I'd really prefer a motor from a street bike or at least a fresh race motor, just as long as it's clean.
BTW, before any of you asks:
Yes, the WidowMaker's motor has pretty much bit the big one. Let's just say one of the pistons doesn't weigh as much as the others anymore... I could rebuild her, but for the kind of $ that'll take I could convert my '06 to the track. Oh, well, at least the cylinder head is ok
I'm sure those of you that have squared off against this bike over the past 2 seasons are probably happy this motor is finally being retired! Don't worry, I'll have something just as fast (if not faster) to thrash you guys with by next season.

I'd rather get it local from *hopefully* a reliable source. You never know what you're getting from ebay. I'm hoping one of me mates from up at the track will step up with something that's been sitting in the corner of their basement collecting dust rather than something that's been getting the snot beat out of it.

Thanks to the wonders of Sean Sweeney's engine building capabilities, that '03 engine lasted me 2 seasons after it lasted 2 seasons for Brian Kent! So yeah, I got my moneys worth out of that engine (including 5 wins and a second in the 8 races I completed in my injury shortened '07 season). That's no BS. You read it right. Count 'em... 1, 2, 3, 4 seasons without a teardown and it was still one of the fastest bikes out there, old or not!
