I need a front stand. Cheap. Pin, fork, whatever. I can get a no-name setup (that's actually pretty rugged, I have the rear) for $45 shipped, but won't have it for this weekend. The dude who owns the stand I've been borrowing will need it this weekend, so I'm trying to avoid some sort of wooden box, a la motard/milk crate, for my warmers this weekend. Whatcha got?
i'll bring an extra front for u... It lifts by the bottom of the fork...
Where can you get a no-name for $45? I would be interested...
Kitt, you're the man. Appreciate it! When are you heading up? No rush, just so I know when to start looking for ya
Harbor freight. They sell a couple rears, and then a front adapter for $10. Apparently the rears went up since I got mine, they're $40 now instead of $35. So it'd be $50. If you're going to be up at the races this weekend swing by and check mine out before you buy, I'm happy with it, for the $. I'd rather have a woodcraft or something but I'm racing on a budget this season. I have the aluminum one that bolts together, that my garage mates have taken to calling the "terminator style" stand.

K, mine is to borrow... and I don't have time to get to harbor freight for you before the race weekend, but I can grab one for u after this weekend and bring it for oct races if u want to avoid shipping (there's one in west springfield).
p.s. see you friday morning![]()
No worries man, I got ya. OTOH, if it's out of your way and a PITA for you to get, I can just order them. Just checked shipping, it's only $9, apparently it's flat rate. I'd feel kind of bad sending you out of your way to save me $5, unless you're headed by there anyway.
The loaner front for this weekend is a HUGE help though. I don't feel bad at all about that, just happy I won't be using a freaking floor jack (which was what my wooden structure plan evolved into).
I dont mind, it's not really out of the way - I just have to swap stators in the tard tonight, and double header softball game tomorrow... so out for this week... I was bustin balls... breath 1 2 3 breath 1 2 3, there ya go..
I'm breathin fine buddy, just didn't want to put you out on picking it up once I realized what a tiny price difference it is. Well, I might be breathing a little heavy thinking of being at the track for Fri practice for a change, but that's not a bad thing![]()
Wow, that's cheap. It works good?
I like in the description it describes 4 things you can do for repairs using the stand, but pretty sure you're supposed to have the bike on the ground to tighten the chain and I've never had to lift the rear tire to change the oil or do the rear brakes.![]()

So you don't need one now? I have a T-Rex front stand (Pit-Bull knockoff) if interested.
