I used to live accross the street from it on the rt 102 side. If you do ride there remember it is illegal (gotta love RI) except for the occasional enduro. Horses and mountain bikes are allowed (with some exceptions), but not bikes. There is legal trials bike riding off Escoheag Rd off Rte 165. Actually National Trials (maybe even Worlds) have been held there. FWIW Carrs Pond, the sand dunes, and Big River are also off limits thanks to the state of RI. Back in 78 the ski area on Escoheag Rd hosted an AMA National MX. As Van Halen sang "where have all the good times gone?"
All that said there are some good trails in there, many of which were cut by motorcyclists.

If you run up rt 3 n to 102 east and go down the road a short distance there is the "new london turnpike" If you take a right onto it and head south it looks promising. I haven't ridden it yet but I drove back to a point where you would need a bike to continue and as I did this a KLR came out from the other direction. It should be promising.
If you try it out let me know. I work right there and would love to know your thoughts.

White KLR650 with light blue seat/graphics? If so I've seen him go onto the dirt part of New London Tpke from Hopkins Hill/Paved New London Tpke a few times. Actually rode the dirt part on my CBR along with a friend on his 6 cyl CBX, and another friend with a 250 Interceptor. Friend on the CBX was hauling on that dirt road. Obviously we didnt take any side routes so I don't know but theres got to be alot of good stuff there as well leading to Big River/Carrrs.

SSShh its a secret Many Tdubs including mine run around like ants almost every time weather is OK. I am a recent Tdub owner myself, and can run with all but the best woods bikes.
Bigbikedroporama for like klr vstrom adventure GS etc. but really I viewed it as not for dedicated woods bikes like Katoom that could race it.
Also search for the Berkshire run Sandisfield Mass May 20... good TDUB fun

There are no legal "trails" in Arcadia for motorized vehicles. You're allowed on the same dirtroads any other street registered vehicle is allowed on as long as you have a street plate on your bike. The trials area is for club members and trials bikes only.
Pachaug is a great place to ride, there's a 62 mile loop legal for bikes. You also need a street registration to ride there

I'm hoping to get out on the trail again this year after a looong hiatus (decades!)
Looking for a good, reasonably priced dual sport to add to the stable.
Check out the George Washington Management Area and surrounding region in Burrillville & Glocester, RI and nearby E.Putnam, CT.
Dirt roads, trails, power line, pipeline... some of it "quasi-legal."
