fuckem, I have 4 holes in my front number plate from where the yellow plate is mounted , I am going to put both stickers on the front plate to cover up the holes , 1 on the left side and 1 on the right side , they don't fit anywhere else on the bikes that they won't get scrapped up.

for those not following the NEDB thread as well...

Regardless of where you put the stickers whats key is your attitude (and having the paper work on you) if and when you get stopped. I've seen guys with no plates (but had the paperwork) get to ride away because they 1st stopped and 2nd were respectful. Attitude (and carrying the paperwork) is way more important than Plate/Sticker placement.ORIGINAL: gcon
Manray is absolutely dead on....
I have been asking the State for clarification since December regarding what is expected of me and my son so we can ride with minimal hassle from the EPO.
Surprisingly, not only did the main office approve of my placement of the new sticker on the lower fork guards, they asked me to take pictures to illustrate proper placement in their power point presentation to educate riders and other EPO's.
Had i been disrespectful or argumentative, I don't think they would have ever accepted that location as meeting their standard.ORIGINAL: gcon
Lt. Merri Walker seems to welcome feedback regarding sticker placement issues ,and she appears to be reasonable in what our concerns are regarding air flow and shroud sticker placement. Upper fork placement is ok as long as it is not behind the front plate.

I just registered my new KTM in Boston yesterday, They had posters that clearly showed that KTM owners can put the stickers on the plastic fork guards. KDX owners have to put them on the radiator plastics.

When I bought my 250 they collected it and sent it in for me. I dont think they are required to. I ended up having them refund them to me because I tried to get a real title which was a waste of time and failure.Originally Posted by theothersean

RIP A.B. RIP BEET, I Ride in Leathers because I would rather sweat than Bleed...
...and they do.
I'm not going to lie, they're a little ugly, but on the fork guards, they get the job done.
all it needs is the plate removed, a wash, and an engine!
The XR however, does not have fork guards. It instead has fork boots...and the forks are super skinny (and not smooth), so I haven't figured out the best way to work out that one...
do you think they'll issue replacements if you smash into a tree and rip half of it off?

thanks sean!
did i read properly that riding on private property also requires a plate?
yeah good luck enforcing that one.....
Absolutely ridiculous.
tell ya what, if i had a bike in my garage taken apart without a visible plate and by chance someone were trying to enforce it i can guarantee they are trespassing to verify their suspicions.
and doesnt that also mean they have to violate the law at some level to properly enforce it....
