    It was awefull!!!

I was really bummed out yesterday. Had my mortgage closing yesterday and ended up with a check made out to me for $150k...unfortunatly even though it was made out to me, it wasn't mine The awefull part, I stopped at the Yammy dealer and there it was!!! It sucked bad...REAL BAD!!! A brand new white and blue 07 left over Rappy 700 special edition for a steel at $5,495. Here I am drooling over it, with a check for $150k in my pocket, and not a extra dime to spend on something this cool. Isn't owning a home great?

    Carry on

Welcome to the world of having a mortgage... My suggestion is on the way to the closing - stop at the liquer store, pick up a nice bottle of whatever, stop at the ATM and grab $100.

After the last piece of paper is signed, open up the bottle and enjoy. Take the $100 and go to lunch or dinner... It'll be the last money you see for a while...

Give it a year or two - the toy budget frees up pretty quick. But, toys take on a whole new meaning... You start swinging by the John Deere dealership, just as much as the Yamaha shop...

Congrats on finishing the house. if 150 was the entire bill, then you're doing really well!

I wish it was!!! The land was $160K and it cost me another $110K to build the house. The 150 number is what I borrowed from my parents, 110k to build the house and 40k as part of the land down payment. I didn't qualify for a construction loan because I wanted to be the GC and builder of my house and the bank said I could only do one or the other.
Actually the house number is only 90k, I spent 10k of the house money on toys (stupid I know) and I still had 10k left when I was done.

Back on topic, I was at the same dealer yesterday getting the tires changed for the R1 and that Raptor I wanted was gone No biggie, I'll keep the 06 until it dies...and with the luck I have with Yamaha, I'll be old and grey before I get a new one
