Awesome ride today!

So... 4 of us hit up Pittsfield Forest today.

We rode for about 4 hours... and spent 1 hour getting Todd out of the mud.

Actually, we watched as some quadders helped him out.

Once we got the air box emptied out and cleaned, it fired right up though.

Overall, great day for me.

I was the slow poke of the day... especially when I lost the group.

I learned I ride much faster when I'm in the pack.

If I lose the group, I back down to like 50% of the pace I can ride when I'm riding with others.

Anyway... great day and I'm looking forward to next weekend!

That was my best day of dirt since I was a kid! (well, it was only my third ride...) That area is huge, and more what I imagined an ATV area should be. Lunch at the summit of Jimminy peak was cool. The view was awesome.

I think I have the KDX tuned acceptably for now. I will try a few leaner needles to get the best out of it, but it's night and day from when I got it.

Thanks for leading me around guys... That mudhole was epic! I'm glad those quad guys jumped in to help, cause I wasn't really looking forward to willingly get in that thing!!!

nest time seomone needs to bring a camera... maybe it will be me. was a good ride... and i slept like a baby last night..

So are you recovered enough for some southern shit this weekend, it should be your type of pace...slow!!! If I'm not to exhausted from Crow Hill MX on Saturday, I may head to Pachaug on Sunday

That should be an easy ride.

Might be up for another ride on Sunday...

And we would have helped... but the quad guys were already filthy (they spent the previous two hours getting themselves out)

Todd the hero decided to motor through the bayou before we saw what he was gonna do (i would told him not to) and all i could say when i saw it was Holy Sh|t . the quadtards decided to help him partly because they were the reason he went that way... they had already had their dose of mud.. or

we were just taking to long to get to him and they feared he would drown

but it was definitely a kodak moment !!!!! too bad we had no camera with us

I am still sore from that ride... but no sharp pains.

I generally only have to stop a lot at the beginning. I need to learn how to "relax" earlier in the ride.

I'll try and get out there with you guys before the forest closes but not this weekend, plus I just watched the weather and with a 2 day soaking rain in the forcast for Thursday and Friday, I think I'll pass on going swimming with my bike No mudholes at Pachaug
