I had no plans of riding dirt today and my bike had the Motard wheels on it still from last weekends adventure. I get a IM from Bob telling me I'm going riding at pachaug tomorrow..twist my arm!!!
Bob, Tim, Kevin and myself got a nice early start and were at the parking area by 9am, riding by 9:30. The lot was full and I have never seen so many people there. Leaving the lot, we made our way to the little play area to warm up. We ended up doing a couple laps before heading to the single tracks.
We had a good run down to the southern part of the forest and found a couple new trails on the way. Good pace and minimal falls![]()
A ride at this place just isn't a ride unless you hit the old powerline trail. I think I only fell once this time, that's a new personal best for me![]()
Tim wanted to go up Mt Misery before lunch so we took the Misery trail to the top.
Lunch stop at the usual spot, I forgot the name of the place but the food is good and the service is pretty fast. Though they did put tomato on my burger![]()
After lunch, we wanted to try and take some different trails back to the trucks. A few wrong turns and a couple dead end trails here and there and we were on our way.
Hmmm, what's that crossing the trail at a 45 degree angle? Yeah, I think I'll pass.
With a little teamwork (sure is nice riding with people that help each other out sometimes) we were on our way in no time.
Tim still wanted more so we entered a area we hadn't been before south of the parking lot. Not exactly single track but the rocks and wetness made that section pretty fun. Man was i exhausted after that section just after we crossed Hell Hollow Rd... we never stopped for a rest, talk about arm pump in those rocks![]()
Great ride today and great company. Can't complain with 43 miles of trails, thanks for talking me into going Bob.
You do know the long range forcast is still looking good for next weekend![]()

Excellent!
Glad to see you guys are still out riding.
Like I tell you every year, the best riding is from October to the first major snow....and even at that, the riding won't stopOriginally posted by 35racer

I hear ya. Other things prevented me from riding this "winter"
but I hope to join you guys next year.
With the global warming, we should be riding year round soon.

Looks like a fricken awsome ride Mark! I'm jealous!
They should call Production Twins what it really is, Shitty McBikefest. Rules for Participation: If your bike runs lower laptimes than a lawnmower, you are not eligibile for Shitty McBikefest. -Darrell

Word up man, good stuff. As you can see bunch of us had a lil ride out in Winchendon today as well.
Boston --> San Diego
Well, I had to take the last five weeks off to heal up some injuries, but I'm back on the bike. I know I missed a lot of good riding.
I spent this weekend riding at a private track near my house. It's TOUGH but really fun. Heavily whooped making it a real challenge on the KDX. My legs are so sore I can barely walk downstairs. It feels good to get back out there.
The best part is that I can ride my bike out of my garage to the track with only 1/4 mile of pavement. What a nice bonus to my new place!!!
Nice, Paul... Glad to hear you're healin up & back on the bike.
