Ballistic jersey

Does this take the place of a chest protector..I dont like the way chest protectors look..I am thinking of one of these..It goes under a jersey..It also has elbow pads incorporated into it..Is this ok for dirt riding, or is it a no no? i figure kill to birds with one stone..

Its alot of gear in one. I really don't like it because I would rather
be more free flowing. but if your looking for protection then it is the way to go.

another question... is it ok for track use? would it count for a back protector?
