Bumpy tires again

I have the X30. This is actually the new designation for the M59 that I posted about in the original post of this thread. Full circle! I just remounted it for it's second season. Has held up great to my use. No chunking knobs yet and decent wear. The rear is also going back on, but shows a fair bit more wear. I'm trying to be less of a tire princess after bootcamp last fall. Hahaa! We'll see.

hah! too funny. i just remember the new 'cooling fins' and Tim telling me he really likes them, was on his second or thrid set. didn't know it was a new rev of the M59.

speaking of being a Tire Princess, i need to score a sand tire for Wick use. bummer i can't get the magical MX410 in 18" gonna have to try the Dunlop X11 Geomax instead.

You can have this 18” one for $65 if we run into each other to hand it over...I used it for just a few laps at Southwick, works absolutely awesome. Changed it out for a woods ride and now sold the bike so I have no use for it.

New to me ‘14 yz250 has a 19” rear wheel. Rode it today at MX23. I’m not sure what the expert who owned it before did to it but I’ve almost looped it by mistake twice already! Flywheel weight is on order...

He's saying you can adjust the ignition timing so that it doesn't hit as hard.

Yup... it can still run flawlessly with an altered character too... and again, it's free and easily reversible.

Josh, good idea on the timing; there is actually a good chance it’s off, since this was a grenaded motor that now has a new crank, cylinder, etc, and the previous owner said it was only ridden for a few heat cycles. I never rode a newish YZ250 before, and assumed it was just an animal of a motor but if I can tame it a little with timing, I will, and still will install the heavier flywheel.

How are you people’s experience with tire inflation other than tubes? Balls, mousse, tubliss, etc. I’m looking for options.

JP is on nitro mousses. Next flat I get I’m gonna give them a try. Or, when I change my front tire in 4 years.

finally went TUbliss end of last season and still loving it. only tried rear first but now i want one for the front. tire changes are easier although it's a different process. i'm running around ~5psi for most woods rides. super grip and no sloppy fold-over in corners with an IBEX.

flats still suck but i put together a little repair kit for my pack with snausages + mini pump. have plugged one puncture so far, was at almost zero psi so kinda my fault.
