Just got the first bike...

Dirt bike that is. I bought a 2000 kx 125 for 300 bucks!!! Granted, its all in pieces and missing more than its got, but ive just spent about 250 on SOME of the parts that i needed. Few questions for you dirty veterans though:

1) I need a cylinder for this bike, found one on ebay for 100 bucks but the chrome is worn and it needs to be repaired or plated? what does this mean/how much does this cost?

2) As soon as i get the cylinder and all the parts in the mail, this thing will be ready to ride asap. Im in Boston, anyone around me know any places besides for parks at night? kidding.

3) I ordered 2 piston kits by accident. anyone have any other parts for this bike to trade? such as an EXHAUST!!!??

Bail on it. You'll be over $2000 by the time you get it together, Bike is worth $1500 tops. Start with some thing else, trust me.

Chuck if you can, cancel all your parts orders. G-man has a real nice KTM EXC 250, MA title runs mint. 1997ish. was a street bike we turned it back to dirt, thing looks brand new, going real cheap.

can find working 02-05 125s for 1300-1800 bucks...its fun building shit up but sucks when you get caught into a money trap/endless pit.
