I met up with Hesogood and elissama for some dirty riding today. I got there about 45 early, I had cleaned my carb and put a new plug in and hadn't really tested it. One loop showed me 2 things, it was MUDDY/WET and I couldn't get the bike up on the pipe. I got a vintage 1987 KLX200 2smoke. I pulled back in to the parkinglot and started going over stuff again, plug, airbox, carb.. just then the other 2 showed up. I also just then found my problem. It had been a few months since I rode and there was a mouse nest IN THE REED CAGE. I hadn't seen it when I cleaned the carb. ( there was no sign of mouse activity ) My bad for not looking. 15 minutes later I was up and running and they were geared up and we headed out. WET was an understatement. There were puddles up to the carb. We plowed through and had a great time. Did a couple more trails and headed back to the Parking lot. I had to adjust a rear brake pedal and elissama had to adjust her idle. We went back out after a quick bottle of water. Learned a few things today. Don't forget spare clothes...and elissama does a great superman into puddles... I left about 12:30 for prior commitents and they went back out on another loop. FUN day !
Great day, I love those trails, surprised they weren't more slick as wet as they were. After you took off we ran a few loops with Joel and Brian. Ended up leaving there around 4:15. Probably head back out next weekend. The weather was perfect today, and even yesterday in the rain was fun. And for all the people there we hardly ran into anyone on the trails. I'm pretty tired which means it was a great weekend.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
6 of us went out today, 5-6 hours. Awesome day, and yes very wet.
A man of many names...Jay, Gennaro, Gerry, etc.
Jay, what bike are you riding?

That was some great riding. Supermans and swimming in mud puddles aside it was great riding! Thanks Doug and Jay for tipping my bike over and draining the carb of water - I got confused and thought my bike was a boat in that puddle.
I am SORE today which = an excellent weekend of riding.
Was a great day of riding. I had a blast!! Got a little squirrrelly a couple times on the last loop with my legs flying all over the place and hanging on for dear life but had a blast anyhow.
That last puddle just before the parking lot got me good!
Jay, good to see you again.
Mellisa and Doug, nice to meet you guys.
Everyone, have to do it again before the year is over.
Joel
O man, Joel went as well? I gotta drag you all to crowhill or some track or meet up at this place next time if I can get a sticker I guess for my bike.

For 65 bucks out of state you get a full year on any trails in NH. And you need one to ride on the lakes too when the ice gets here. We're still working on finding some good lakes and an ATV or small tractor with a plow, but we'll put something together. I'm not much on the MX stuff, maybe cause i suck at it, plus $40 a day to ride compared to $45 a year is a no brainer. Maybe I'll try to come out once or twice though.

O didn't realize that for the lakes as well...cool

Seth,
Your bike and gear are way too clean to have gone riding at Clough yesterdayWe got diiiiirrrrrrrttttttyyyyyyy!
You guys should definitely come out and go trail riding with us some time.
I am hoping that I will be home this Saturday and not travelling. If I am I want to ride, probably at Clough. I know it is Halloween and all but if we ride in the morning then we can get home early enough for whatever other plans there are. I probably wont know until late this week.

What's Clough? Googled or goggled it and came up with a state park and a lawyer.
I was out 4 wheeling yesterday and there was some nasty slop to deal with. It was real slick, I'm sure it was a blast on 2 wheels.
