If I put the lower part of the triple clamp in the freezer for an hour or two a warm bearing should just slide on,....no?

When I replaced mine, I just bought a piece of pvc that was the same diameter from Home Depot and hammered it on. Especially where it's the bottom bearing, the weight of the fram will also force it down when you tighten everything up.

i did the same thing. Read page 1 on the thread.

yes, freeze the new ones. after the new ones are dropped in, then use heat for the bearings to expand

Freeze the neck, heat the bearing races, press on.
