Dirting this weekend

Nate, Joe, Lis and i are gonna hit the covered bridge ths sunday.

we plan on being there around 11-11:30 a.m. and riding through at least 2 tanks of gas.

I'll have the street bike loaded for track day... heading to the Manchester moto gp party then up to the track for track day.


After these 2 track days are done... I am definitely up for some dirt rides.

If anyone is street legal, there are some good dirt loops near my house with minimal street portions.

I'll post up a couple of dates after these track days.

Peeps far from Spfld are always welcome to come the night before and crash on the floor... or stay over after riding if you're tired.

If we get a nice group (5 or 6?), maybe we'll have a BBQ and stuff

i'm waitin to hear back from the owner of the CR i'm lookin at... hopin i can get it in the next few weeks... but i'm also about to lay down a couple g's on an appartment w/ the assumption that i'll find a roommate to split the rent

Kicked my ass again today Started the day with 5 miles of nasty single track, never even left 1st gear and it was wet and damp.... then ended the day with about 15 laps around the 1.7 mile moto track. I'm sore in muscles I didn't even know I had

The 400 is much lighter than my beast & THE most reliable bike out there. Maintenance is easy...you wouldn't know about that because bikes don't last long beyond their 1st oil change with you...LOL. FUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKK!!!!

Rye Speaking of the beast, did you ever figure out that fuel issue where there was raw gas spewing from the bike? Float bowl?

Is it any easier to start now?

my XR400 is a very good, solid trail/woods bike. it is heavy, but i dont care, its not too heavy for me.

The issue never re-surfaced so I didn't investigate any further. i measured float height way back when I was uncorking the motor so I'm thinking it was occuring when I was trying to clear the cylinder. BTW...the Baja Designs kit should be here either monday or tuesday. I've slacked off on registering it for the street because I got engaged last month and dumped a wad on the ring and a trip to Sanfran/Yosemite. I am gung-ho about getting the bike set up now. The bike is stripped to the frame right now and i'm giving the front and rear suspension to Pete tomorrow and prepping it to receive the BD kit. i'm just wondering if I can register it without having a title in hand yet as I will have to apply for the title. Hopefully insurance doesn't break them on me and will accept the C/O in advance of the title being sent. I am shooting for having everything done in a couple weeks. Fingers crossed.
