Stimulon is running Southwick again tomorrow. I cannot go, but I would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering it. Track is in great shape, weather is nice and not too many people here at all. Dave sent out an email saying tomorrow had something like only 30 people signed up!

Great session today. Started out the day doing some drills in the field. Full lock figure eights and whoolies. Went out to the woods and got Scottie reacquainted with his Beta after almost a 2 month hiatus. Rode most of the time at a slow pace, focusing on the enduro-cross techniques I've been studying. Made a few new lines on the ledge section, now known as "Roost Rock." Finished the day with a few IPA's in the backyard.

i messed up, was thinking the Oct 8+9 Stimilon Holeshot Radio ride days were at Southwick... forgot those are at NHMX. looks like next open practice at Southwick isn't until Nov 20th.

Seems like just pop up last minute lately. The last two or three I went to, seems like I didn't know about until a day or two before...probably partly due to the fact that I don't have facey space and neither do most of the guys I ride with from town.

So I'm considering a doing weekend event here before it gets cold. I'd like to give some of the guys who live further away an opportunity to come ride and actually make it worth the trip. Option to arrive Friday night or Saturday morning, ride all day Saturday, have some beers and smoked meat, tell a few lies sitting around the fire, then have another full day of riding Sunday.

Leaning towards October, I would avoid the LRRS weekend and the weekend of the 29th for the NETRA sprint enduro.

Who would be interested?

Saturday cut and ride! Have a couple of local buddies coming in the morning to help me finish cutting in a new loop. I did the entrances the other day, it's going to be a nice one, there's a rock garden on one end I'll get started about 8 am. Should just be an hour or two cutting, then we'll start turning laps until someone pukes.

There's a new loop in now, thanks to JC for coming by and helping out this morning. Rock garden is nice, several lines through there already from mild to gnarly. Scottie came by and we rode this afternoon and got the new loop bedded in decently. A few more cut sessions and this might be a decent place to ride!
