Thought I would post up the new rig, for all to enjoy.

'17 YZ250X

Bought it back in February and have only put about 20min on it.

Bolted up some guards and armor so far. Pics to come.

My first 2T since 1990.

The magazines said it was easier to ride on the MX track than the straight YZ250!

Those things have the much sought after SSS forks I believe. Nice ride.

Yup, it's got the SSS. That was one of the deciding factors in buying this over the KTM and Beta.
The price had a lot more to do with it though.

bunch of Beta guys swap the SSS in... i've priced it, not too bad really.

you must be chompin' at the bit to ride it! brandy new. where will you use it? HVD i know but where else? were you an MX'er or woods rider?

Not that I'm unhappy with my Beta, but I kinda regret not considering the 250x at the time. Love the blue bikes.

Woods rider. Haven't been to a track since I was in my early 20's.

Wrentham, Foxboro, Plymouth, Derry/Chester and Clough. I'll ride it anywhere there is good single track.
I know Foxboro well and will probably ride there a lot until I find my way around those other places again.
HVD is much closer so that will probably become my go to place.

sweet. sounds like we'll bump into each other quite a bit this season. btw, if HVD is really opening Sat, i'll prob be down there at 8am. i asked the rangers if 4/22 is still tentative, no response yet.
