This looks tits.
No special bike requirements, just come out and rip it.
I'm still on the fence as to whether I'll burn the 24hrs vacation time it's going to take to do this, but it looks amazing. He should have a woods section preview up on his home page, and the other 2 sections up today.

EDIT: used to live out there, morning coffee on Greylock was a serious perk, so it makes it even more attractive

Want to play, also don't want to explain to the doctor in a couple weeks exactly why the bruising on my shoulder suddenly got worse...

I totally flaked on this.
The "no stress" rule was about to be violated to pull it off, so I bailed. Had it been part of a series I was participating in, I'd have been ready to go, but where this was a one-off this year, I let everybody else guinea pig it.
We'll see what he does with the format next year, as it looks like a huge success.

Holy shit that looks like the perfect mix.. I love it.. I forgot how challenging it can be to make passes in the woods... Now I really want to do this.. To late this year.. Too banged up from my T6 digger but next year.... I gotta figure out how to hit one of these events....

after reading comments/reviews like this, i think he should...
I have to say that was the most fun way to race that I've experienced in a long while. As a former motocrosser for many years I've done my share of gate drops. Then years of hare scrambles with their hair ball first laps and pretty beat up courses. Enduros are different and I still enjoy them, but it does take some of the fun out of it when you get lost because someone pulled down arrows. Or maybe you made a timekeeping mistake and blew your whole race. The sprint enduro crystallizes it down to rider and skill vs. varied terrain. It was refreshing, totally fun and a great way to spend the day with your best buds. Hopefully there will be more of these next year. If there are, make sure you try one!
