Off-Road Vehicle trails in state forests closed until further notice
Due to the record rainfall received in the state and saturated trail conditions, the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) has temporarily closed designated trails for Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) use in Beartown State Forest, October Mountain State Forest, Pittsfield State Forest, Tolland State Forest, F. Gilbert Hills State Forest, Freetown State Forest and Georgetown-Rowley State Forest until conditions improve. Riding an ORV on wet trails can cause significant trail damage. For more information on each riding area, maps, directions and contact number visit www.mass.gov/dcr/forparks.htm. When conditions improve, the trails will be re-opened and notice will be given through local newspapers, and DCR website.

The idea of a enduro has been crossing my mind as well![]()

I raced Freetown this past weekend, but managed to take out my radiator, new one is on its way. My club is putting an Enduro this weekend in Wrentham, you should ride up check it out. I'll be working registration, and a couple checks points, and we can always use an extra body if your interested.
You should ride the NE Classic June 10&11 that starts at NHIS, I can't make Sat. but hoping to ride Sunday. The next enduro is June 18, Somers, CT and its beginner friendly. Another good one to try is Little Rhody, RI July 19, thats right your back yard.

I was supposed to go to NHIS for the classic ride but I have a family event on Saturday![]()

I'll most likely ride the Classic on Sunday if the weathers decent, so we can hook up.
Here's a description of the rides, from NEDB site.
It will still be one of the best trail rides you can legally go on.
Saturday: 115 miles, several hero sections including the Rocky Mountain Special, a provided luch in Alton. Saturday's northern loop will be the more challenging of the two days.
Saturday night's banquet (call for tickets, 114 have been sold) will feature a vidio of Saturady's ride, Charlie Williams' slide show and Suziki flat tracker Kevin Varnes.
Sunday, The Southern loop, 110+ miles, will be a mellow New England trail ride with a hero section or two. No there is no Back Door to Hell. If you have been invloved in putting on one trail ride, you can understand the work two indivual loops plus hero sections equals, let alone a third and the other weekend activities.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Well, either way keep me posted if you want to hook up. I knew a few guys that are going up, and most likely I'll have few guys to ride with.
