MA Stickers for out of staters

OK, it looks like da man has finally forced my hand. I'm headed to get my sticker this week. I pay my taxes, I get my sticker. But what about an out of stater? Obviously they don't need to pay MA sales tax. How do they get a sticker? What paperwork is needed? Knowing MA it can't be easy.

I did it once, all I needed was proof of ownership and proof of sales tax paid to my current state, I had to go there in person (Fall River) to get my stickers

Yeah I did it once too, albeit 6 years ago. Was easy like Mark said. I didn't have proof of sales tax paid IIRC.

Need proof of sales tax paid for your bike or the out of stater?

It was 5-6 years ago, but I was asked for proof of sales tax paid when I went, it was a new bike, not sure if that makes a difference or not....and not sure what tax laws could have changed in that time frame. Maine used to do the same thing when I would register, but they no longer ask for proof of sales tax for out of state
