MX207 Sunday

I am heading to MX207 for the afternoon, anyone else interested?

O man I'd love to but I can already see that 4th gear table giving my ankle fits...might just ride easy this weekend to see how my ankle feels, though I would rather ride jumps

4th gear my ass, I will stick to third and landing hopefully at the half way point on that thing.

There was a guy there last time taking the far outside line and clearing that table top. I mean it is only 100' - 120' to the landing. I stick to my goal of just trying to clear the step up jump by the spectator platform and landing actual on the bike and riding it out.

o ya that jump is wacky and long haha, I am talking about the table that kind of hips to the left a tiny bit coming back the other way after the back section. I love that jump it pops you up pretty high.

Just a heads up but you might want to check the schedule. I think there is a race at 207 on Sunday.

EDIT: Yup, I just checked. MMS is racing at MX207 on Sunday.

Yeah, I think they had to move their schedule around. They had another track close that they were using in that series.

Think about epping instead. I'm planning riding there Sat. I picked up a yz450 with a rekluse clutch that I really want to get on the track.

I road there last Sunday and really didn't care for it.

Really, I haven't rode there. What was wrong with it?

I never felt comfortable on the track. It really didn't flow all that well. The dirt was very hard packed and the jumps you really need to be right on when it came to the landing.

Now I am by no means an expert rider, but i also heard this from others riders I talked to. It did have a couple of fun sections also. My understanding is that they are doing a lot of work to the track to try and get it set up the way they want it and it is changing all the time.

I will give it another shot later on in the year. Hopefully after they have a few races with NEMX and the other MX race series that is racing there this year they will get a set up that works better.
