We have a day passes for both Pittsfield and October Mountain this coming Sunday. Does anyone have experience in both locations that can advise me on which one we should go to for the day? We rode Beartown a couple of weeks ago, and it was fun, if rocky. We'd like someplace less rocky than Beartown if possible.
If there are favorite or best trails too, let me know. Just any advice on those to locations is welcome.

Its been a few years since I rode both, but if it means anything to you, we used to call October mountain....Roctober mountain. Both places were fun

speaking of rOctober, anyone know if they repaired Schermerhorn Road (paved access by campground) yet? haven't been out since '13. going the looong way around from Lee in a lowered pickup with two dirties in the back was a fcukin bish. cant believe i didnt lose an LCA or crack the frame that day.

When we rode Beartown it seemed like it was all rocks all the time. We had a great day. It's nice knowing it's totally legal.
It'll be my first day running Tubliss tires. So, I am curious to see how that works out. I love low tire pressure in rocky terrain but hate pinch flats.
Thanks for the advice, we'll try Pittsfield first.
