Pittsfield MA - Saturday 7/2

I'll be in Pittsfield for the day this Saturday while my girlfriend shoots a wedding. Anyone in the area? I'm going to go get lost on either the KDX or the mountain bike.

On a related note, anyone have recommendations for riding in the area? Looks like Pittsfield State Forest, October Mountain State Forest, and Tolland State Forest are all close.

ride the KDX at Pittsfield State Forest, you'll have fun. lots of double track. October is fun but there is a reason it's nicknamed Rocktober Mtn still many trails to have fun on there but i would recommend Pittsfield over October or Beartown to newer riders. Tolland i haven't ridden yet.

if you do ride Pittsfield State Forest, keep in mind that you need an ORV reg AND a daily permit now. the permit is free and the process is easy.

EDIT: meant to add, a permit is required for Pittsfield, Beartown and October, not just Pittsfield. Tolland is ORV reg only.
