Kurlon, pick up an old 2stroke for chips and join in. Your mini experience will have you up to speed quickly. This is truly cheap fun if you can maintain a bike.
nothin good yet, just got xrays on saturday and strong antibiotic, they think I have an infection in there. Gonna see an ortho tomorrow and maybe get an MRI or whatever else. I'm kinda hoping at this point its an infection that flaired up crazy and will now go away rather quickly

That sucks bud. I hope you heal quick! Do you have a good ortho surgeon in the area? I use a guy that works on some pro atheletes in the area, Pats and Sox and whatnot. He's really good, and understanding about the stuff we do. He's a mountain biker as well. When I told him I wanted to put off my knee surgery to the off season he said "Well, it's not going to get any worse unless you smash it again. If you can live with the pain, enjoy the season and come see me at the start of the winter, or next winter, or whenever you have had enough of the pain."

Great dude. I've got a lot of family in the medical profesion and they sent me to this guy universally. I'm glad they did. I can hook you up w/ his contact info if you want it.

    Re: Riding techniques

So the majority of you guys dont brake on the track ?

Its very difficult to brake on the track for me on the track.

Once I tried for a turn that had a bunch of bumps before it, that turned out bad.
Second time was coming down from a jump and turning, that turned out bad.

When I goto crow hill I see the riders infront of me lock their back tires on right before a turn, should I be doing that ?

Uh, That's no brakes at SOUTHWICK. Most other tracks including CH have heavy braking zones. You need to be able to use the front in the bumps. Finding the smoothest line is important.
