^good point, I think alot of people automatically point fingers because he was in a "foreign country" but truth is he had the best neuro surgeon in all of costa rica working on him at the hospital.

But before offering criticism's of how the incident was handled, it's best to understand what really should take place and how to prioritize the needs. It seems easy to sit back and say "could have" or "should have." Especially when you don't have a lot of experience or training in the area. But the truth is that decisions have to get made, and compromises get made.

appreciate the thoughts, medic. i def wasnt offering any 'should have' statements, it was just difficult to watch that vid knowing he didnt make it.

No problem. It is a horrible video to watch. I've just read a lot of criticism regarding how the incident was handled from people who have no idea what it's like to have to make those decisions or the how's and why's of making them. It's not easy to do and I wanted to clear up any confusion...or at least offer another perspective.
