Off Road registration regulations

Anyone know if there is a mileage restriction to ride from "trail to trail" on an orv reg? I want to do some dual sport type rides with mostly off road stuff and dont want to hassle with insurance and the dmv. ORV reg is much less work for this year!

Also, anyone up for riding in the next couple weeks? I just bought some dirt rims/ tires for the 520, should be in over the next few days hopefully!

Translation = unless it came with a title that allows you to get a plate. You can get a ticket for operating on a public way.
