didn't think it was possible on an XR100
...and front end kept going up, and I didn't land it...
I was holding WOT heading into the jump, kept it pinned in the launch, engine revved, front end started to soar upwards, I panicked and kept it pinned, crashed, bent the handlebars, snapped the buckles off my boots, and my knee hurts, ha
must've been thinking of the KTM video...
if I was more experienced I bet I could've used my brakes to bring the front back down!
othersean - the gorilla camera holder works pretty well!

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
wait...what's whiskey throttle?
I saw someone say it in the other thread...thought it just meant panic throttle when you're going to crash?
ok...must edit thread title to boner air
jump face was smooth - think it had a surprise lip...
Whiskey throttle is not panic, it is complete loss of control of throttle in bumpy terrain. It usually entails a tankslapper like headshake resulting in violent on off throttle that gets worse until you get ejected! It is one of THE funniest things to witness in dirt riding. Boner airs take a close second though!!! Glad you're OK.
Yea whiskey throttle is like when you get tired and pulled off the back or something and you inadvertently give it tons of gas when you don't want to. So the bike fires out from under you and you are holding on for dear life trying to roll back off the throttle.
Total boner air!
Try to keep your weight lil more forward as you hit the top of the face.
