if by "teach me how to ride it" you mean take you to some trails, tell you we're gonna go slow, then lose you by the first turn, realize it 20 mintues later, turn around, find you either still on your ass or kicking your bike over & over, laugh at you then laugh about the time JeffL went head first into a mud puddle that was 2 feet deep.................. then yes.... we'd love to teach you how to ride it

Yes. We'll use Peter's method. We disapear down the trail, you tire yourself catching up to us where we're resting at the next intersection. When you're in sight and can see which way we're going we take off again. Rinse and repeat. Eventually you'll get sick of being tired and not getting a break and not be the last one in the group. It works wonders.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

The most important part about riding a dirtbike is gear -- riding gear. Do not ride w/o dirt boots. A pair of Tims won't cut it -- you want full-on mx boots, not hiking or work boots.

Yea, I'm all about the gear for any riding, so no problem there. I work near Brockton so I'm going to hit Brockton cycle center to try stuff on and get set up.

I'm psyched but a bit unsure of what to expect.

LOL! That teaching method is hard to avoid. Despite all good intentions to take it easy on the new guy, it just unfolds that way no matter what.

    Yah, fug that.

I got a pair of sox tickets for thursday april 12, 4PM. Whoever is willing to spend a painful afternoon with me sometime in may when it gets a bit warmer showing me around some easy basic woods stuff can have em.

Depending how late the sunset is Wednesday night might work. i'm a 9-5er and I have night class tuesday and wednesday. I don't want the ticket, I just wanna ride.
