It looks like they just added Wrentham MA, July 19/20. I did this last year and had a blast. Shanewatts.com for info.

I attended last year in Wrentham and it was great. I have enrolled again this year. You ride about 7 hours per day for two days, except when the instructor is explaining or demonstrating technique. There were MX starting drills, figure eights to slide the rear under power in second gear, railing berms, wheelies, stoppies, grinding down 15 foot logs (bike straddles the log for the full length), large log crossings lifting the front wheel, front brake sliding, acceleration and braking, body position, hand and foot position. Trail riding was interspersed with drills to try new techniques. Bring your own everything (snacks, food, drinks) including toilet paper. A few guys brought campers and stayed the weekend. There is also a weekend in August in VT.

Wow, sounds like fun, any idea on costs?
Just under $400 for the weekend.
I just saw this.. so my timing blows.
Are there any other schools around that are worthwhile that rent bikes? My dirt experience is riding a Husky 360 about 100ft on a road one time. Which means, you know, no experience at all.

So that is why all the bikes were there the past 2 days. I was flying my RC planes in the field next to there.

Another DirtWise school was announced this week to be held August 9-10 in West Greenwich, RI. GNCC champion Jason Thomas (the Welshman) will instruct. He was the instructor last year in Wrentham.

anyone doing this? got the Xr already. New tires (after getting it inspected)
Was thinking of camping out Th and Fri nite to avoid traffic to wrentham from north of boston but the heat at night it don't sound fun
any suggestions of stuff to bring , im treating it like a track day more or less , tools, food,ez up, spare gas etc
hmmmm......
Wow, that sounds awesome. It's sold out...probably fortunately for me, because I don't think I could ride my dirtbike for 7 hours a day for two consecutive days even if I was being chased by a radioactive mushroom cloud.
