OK, so, my Sidi crossfires were the best thing since sliced bread. Absolutely bomber protection and no break in requred due to the hinged design. 5 years of abuse later, and the plasic circlips and hinge posts wore out and the upper shells were free to come off when unbuckled. I ordered a repair kit like 4 months ago and it finally showed up. 7 bucks. 4 new pins and circlips. Easy, right?
Eh, wrong. It was an absolute bitch to replace them, After much swearing and unconventional use of tools and even a water bottle, I snapped the final circlip into place! Boom! Boots are functioning like new again. 7 bucks sure beats 500+ for new boots!
