what sizes are you? i have some new, unused TLD gear i was thinking of selling.

Size 11 or 12 boot, and I'm a bit over 6'3" and 220lbs.

Seems right to me.

I paid about AUD$1500 for a Dainese two-piece suit in 1999 or 2000 or so. I've crashed in it twice and it's still in great shape. Good gear lasts, cheap shit don't... (and yes, Australia is expensive)

What stuff should I bring? I have breakaway levers (or folding, whatever) but should I bring a spare set too? Spare spark plug? Basic tool set?

Usually there are vendors for levers, numbers, tires and tubes, gear, food, and misc stuff (haven't been to Stimilon before, but in general at dirt racing days)

It all depends how minimalist you are. Most mx races, you will see guys with only the setup described, and others with more all the way up to the family with a few hundred grand worth of RV, giant trailer, four bikes, paid mechanic, pit bikes, pressure washers, huge carpeted covered pit, etc etc.

The more friends you have, the less emergency stuff you need to carry...and nesr dudes will have a lot of friends at Stimulon! Can't freakin wait, this is turning into one of my most looked forward to events of the year, especially since road racing is not looking likely...

i have a 'STIMILON packing list' somewhere, i'll see if i can find it. it's basically what Imbeek describes above but after attending five years in a row it made packing easy.

That's really helpful, thanks for posting it. I guess I'm a minimalist right now because a) I have basically no dirt stuff (other than street bike tools) and b) I'm living with a friend so no room to store shit other than the back of my car.

I'm missing out on our annual spring VIR trip this year, I believe Degsy's quote was along the lines of "good, now we won't have enough tools to build the titanic in a bathtub with us."

I plan to replace most of those tools, with beer, for this trip.
