That is a fine play bike, and will probably fit the bill for you ... at least for a year.

Given the time of year... they might even take you up on your offer.

While not bad ($1500 before any haggling), its too rich for my blood being that I just decided to pour my heart, soul and wallet into roadracing. If I could get it for say, $1000, I'd do it. I seriously doubt the guy would even return my phone call if I make that low of an offer, but I might try because I've got nothing to lose. Thanks everybody.. I think I'm gonna keep my eye out for a 4 stroke, and price/condition will dictate if its MX or otherwise. Probably an air cooled non MX, because they seem much cheaper.
I have a friend with a 02 TTR225 that wants to sell it, I told him to post it up here. I know he takes care of his stuff as good as I take care of mine (just ask a few people that know me here how I am with my toys) so you'd be getting a good used bike and know it has a good history
He actually chooses to ride the TTR over the YZ450 in any type of trails

450F's are big bitches. I'd rather not lug that around in the tights myself.
You'd be lugging more weight around with a 250X woods bike than you would with a 450F

Wasn't too familiar with the 250X specs, I just knew off the top of my that it was the more 'woods' specific bike. That being the case, 250F.

Neil. You can find 01 TTR125's for less than 1500 all over the internet. I got me 03 with pipe and stuff for 1500.
