Its time for New rubber For the Yz250F, My main track is soft with a huge Sand section I am also doing the Stimelon(sp?) at southwick. I always wanted to try the Kenda Southwick anybody Used this tire and can offer some feedback. I am in the process of Making my Bike MX only will most likely buy a cheap woods bike.

Never tried the southwick, but they look sick! I did try the Kenda Millevilles, which is also a soft terrain tire and they sucked. I chewed the outer knobs off in just a few days at CH. That's an intermediate tire track IMO.
I went over to the Kenda Washougals and prefer them over the millevilles, even at my sand track. I'm sure the southwicks would work best at southwick though...
I'm running these washougals, but I gotta do a topend before stimilon.
I just put new dunlops on my bike and they feel pretty sweet. Not sure about all terrain types though as I have only ridden them at crowhill and winchester sx track.
I went with mx31 front (soft terrain) and mx51 rear (med terrain). I would have liked to try the mx51 front as well but have heard mixed stuff on it, might try it next time.

Even though they are a DOT "Dual Sport" tire, do not overlook the Kenda Trackmaster II K-760 rear tire. They are relatively inexpensive, quite durable, and offer great traction on the conditions you describe.
I had similar experience with the Kenda Millville rear - I ripped the outer knobs off quickly.
I have Millville rear and Washougal front on my YZ450 and they seem to hook up well.
Exactly! 752's were excellent tires, but they commanded a premium price, and wore quite quickly. The K-760 is much better in both catagories.
The K-760 front, however, is spooky. I usually run a Pirelli MT-16 front. I used to run the Dunlop K-490 front, but then they disappeared...
I bought the New Southwick 2, If they suck at CH I will replace them after Southwick.

Unbelievable traction at Southwick. I'm not good in the sand but that rear really helped.

I'm giving the Dunlop 952 rear the thumbs up. After a couple rides it's been great. I was wondering if my memory of the 752 was clouded by age. The 952 rides just like I remember the 752.
I have finally settled on a tire combo I like for the future. Maxxis SI front and Dunlop 952 rear.
The tires I ordered are most likely strewn across some field in Colorado

As a total newb... am I going to notice the difference in tires at Southwick, or will they all equally 'suck' for me till I learn how to ride?
