Some ATV guys fell off a cliff at one of my local riding spots. This is a place I don't ride anymore, but I learned to ride there as a kid and it was my wilderness adventure zone throughout my childhood. That cliff was one of my favorite spots.

falling of a cliff, and serious injuries? that sucks...but glad to hear that they will make it
but 1:30am and no helmets...is that common? I read about a similar incident (unfortunately a fatality) of a 17 year old father, and 2-week owner of a dirt bike crash at 2am into a utility pole with no head protection except (I hate to direct your thoughts...but,) his baseball cap on backwards...

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9000/4.6.0.297 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)
Is that the one that the fence had been pulled down by the cliff?
Very
Tons of kids back in high school would ride there 4 wheelers out to the woods to drink....normally no helmets, and at least 2 people on em.
If any of you guys have ridden at beneventos in Wilmington, it used to happen there ALL the time and probably still does, I havnt been in awhile cause those same people have the cops down there all the time.
Also, yesterday aparently some kid in my town in high school just completely flipped/rolled/whatever his brand new raptor 350, no gear, on pavement around one of my favorite turns to do on my bike...Just trying to show off for his buddies

A man of many names...Jay, Gennaro, Gerry, etc.
In the case I posted there was no fence. It's a very steep powerline cut. We used to ride up to it just to look at the view and for the climb. There's a trail that goes down around the cliff, but I'm guessing they weren't trying to ride it, just turning the quads around to close to the drop. How more than one quad could go over is the real question. Perhaps they did simply ride right off it one after the other???
bummer to read. from the article and reader comments, sounds like it was a multi-person ATV kinda thing (?) seems those crazy jacked up golf carts are super popular. wonder if that's what they were toolin' around in.
Beta 200RR
I heard it was a John Deere gator (6 wheeler)
