Looking for a place in ma. to take my son and the quad's to do some riding saturday or sunday any suggestions???
assuming your ATVs are reg'd... October Mountain or Pittsfield SF (but you need to make sure there will be daily permits avail)
Oct Mtn has a bunch of open areas if your son is young.

He's 17 I might need the open fields!
do they have a web site?
i havent been out to October in a few years but i remember quite a few open dirt roads, a big pit-type area, etc. then of course lots of tighter trails. i was on a dirt bike and more focused on singletrack but seemed to be a good mix for ATVs as well.

If you aren't reg'd in MA and want to do a little driving there are a few areas in NH that are close to the MA border and you can get reg'd in NH at pretty much any NH motorcycle dealer which opens up the option of getting reg'd tomorrow. MA makes it such a pain in the ass to Reg that I am still debating whether or not I am going to Reg in MA with my new bike or not.
Do a Google search on NH OHRV and their website will come up with all the info you might need.

grew up in those and the 100 acres around it
legally, there's nothing close to you
any place that's illegal should not be posted on a local forum, because those "tolerated" areas become common knowledge as the whole intarwebs reads about it, used more frequently, then too heavily used and become patrolled and forever closed down
I found the best way to find those local "tolerated" areas, is by word of mouth from your local riders...the NESR dirty bastards are a small group of riders, spread out across MA/RI/NH, so it's unlikely anyone here is from your area and knows of these secret "tolerated" areas
if you don't know any local riders, a tricky way to do this is email CL ads in your town, and say "hey I'm interested your dirtbike/atv, but I don't a place to ride it...is there anyplace around here you know of? I'll buy your machine if there is."...if they're desperate to sell, sometimes they'll spill the coordinates for your local riding area

There is a place in Andover you can goto, PM me the details if you're interested but you can't go there on the weekends. You can but it'll eventually be full of high school kids starting fires, doing stupid shit. And then eventually the cops come.
Are these utility quads or sport quads?
If they're sport. Goto MX207 on either Thursday and Sunday.
Trust me, you won't regret it.
