There's a ton of work left, probably over a years worth..haha.
This weekend is out for me, heading to Indy GP, but taking a red eye back Sunday night. Monday is a RI holiday, so I do have that off and may be up for a late morning ride, maybe a bit of work if everything goes to schedule with the trip. I'd have to probably let you know Sunday night when I get home

When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

I know it's late in the season, but I'm finally ready to tackle this project again. I spent some time yesterday trying to lay something out, and a bit of time today after work as well. Those that have ridden at my house, know what I have to work with...rocks!
I finally have a machine that i think can handle the job of removing the rocks and stumps (JD 510C 4x4), though it's still going to take a while. I still probably won't do any excavation until spring and it will likely take me all winter just to cut the 10' wide swath through the woods.
What I'm looking for are some ideas for a layout. I was planning to use my current layout, but as many said, with all the switchbacks, it wouldn't flow that great for a track. I need to start with a clean slate, and want to squeeze it into about 6 acres.
Do I keep it tight, make some high speed long runs, where to put jumps/kickers/whoops, etc. The block of land I have to use for this is basically in the shape of an hour glass..wider at each end (one end is much wider than the other tho), narrow in the middle. Average is 200' wide, by 1300' long.
Anyone interested in coming to have a look this Sunday?
