Check this pic from Daytona. Look at the second bike!

Yeah, I watched that- there was one point when a bike was standing straight up on its back wheel and it was so stuck in the mud that they had to jump on it to get it to fall over

hahaha yeah that race was PHENOMENAL! I couldn't believe they didn't cancel it. Those guys are HARDCORE.
And how SUCKY was it for Chad Reed? Bike dies THAT CLOSE to the finish line after he led practically the entire race... OUCH that's gotta hurt! I couldn't believe it when that happened.

I was there and lemme tell ya. It was WAY worse in person. The next day I was looking at the track from Pit Lane during the 200 (it's just across Hot Pit) and I don't think I could have completed one lap right then when it was bright and sunny out never-the-less DURING the monsoon.
Absolutely insanity. Millisaps told me it was up to his chest at times. Some of the guys were actually clearing some of the jumps still in those conditions which had to be seen to believed.
Hats off to those madmen.

I couldn't help but laugh through most of that race. It looked like a hare scramble event, but without the rocks, trees & roots. For an old guy, Windham's been doing well this season.
Too bad Stewart's out for the season, but his absence seems to have tightened up the racing. Although, when the top 5 riders are running up on lappers by the 8th lap... Maybe the move to lower displacement bikes for SX will tighten up the ranks?
A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. - John Stuart Mill
Hey I just happened to be standing next to him and needed something to chat about. Was fun watching him hit on the Honda Umbrella girls (see Daytona pics thread).
Pegrams pitbox just happened to be next to the Factory Honda pitbox during the 200 and Davi was chilling over there.

i heard they were calling it lake ricky, since RC designed the track and it was pretty much under water. i wonder how david knight or jimmy jarret would have faired at it??
btw, thanks for the new desktop backround.
