Ahhhh yes I forgot about that and being that we are trying to eliminate all semblance of work and effort in prepping our bikes for the track day it would be way out of the realm of reality to remove the fuses for the tail lights and directionals and remove the mirrors.

I mean why would you want to potentially save yourself money in the event of a track day crash and actually take the five to ten minutes it might take and remove the pieces most likely to break in the most minor of crashes and instead spend hours on a message board trying to figure out some way around using duct tape??????????????????????????????

I hope you all realize that I am just having a little fun but I truly don't understand why the simplest of things to do can sometimes become more than they really are.

    covering lights

The bodywork on most bikes are plastic and the light lenses on most newer bikes are plastic, do you have to tape up the bodywork as well?

I had a couple tricks when I was doing trackdays that worked pretty well.
Electrical tape works very good and IF you take out your lightbulbs (or at least make sure they don't come on) and will peel off leaving no residue. If you leave your lights on and they heat up, forget it... gewwww city
Second effective method, wax on, tape on, pull off
I used to put a coat of wax on the headlights and lenses, let it dry and put the tape rite over the wax. Surprisingly it sticks very well but peals off without leaving geww everywhere

The reality has set in. I look at what I posted and feel like a Jackass. The fuses and mirrors go with out saying. I'm gonna grab some gaffers tape and bring duct tape incase the gaffer's tape isn't acceptable, i'm just paranoid about marking shit up. I'll get over it.
