Chris Bruno is sending me the link tonight later..I'll make sure I start a thread in this section denoting the location of the photos. He says he has some killer shots folks...!! Yeah, that's cuz NESR riders are better than the Triumph riders..RIGHT????!!!?!!

You mean the Thruxton?
I remember getting held up by that guy too. Gorgeous bike... did you notice how little ground clearance that bike had? He was pretty close to scraping the exhaust.
That bike is basically a replica of a bike that competed with the Harley Sportster in the 1960s. At that point the Sportster was a pretty bad ass bike.

The very slow people on the track did not bother me at all. Just the ones that had to open it up everytime going down the straight. I would go kinda easy on the straight and i would always check to see if someone was cornering a lot faster than me and let them by(just didn't happen more than a couple times) I have to give credit to a lot of the slow riders, a lot of them were very smooth and were taking good consistent lines, it was no problem to get past them. It's not all about being fast, there were two girls that were slow but had better lines than a lot of the faster guys and they were a hell of a lot smoother.
I can't wait to see these pictures. My vanity is craving a poster of me on the wall in my house.
They did punch it but those trumpets couldn't hang with the nine two nizzle when I got on it.Originally posted by Mystery Squid
Yeah, that was him...
Actually Brent's bike was scraping exhaust too...
I should clarify that I fully agree with hessogood, it's the ones that punched it on the straits that were mildly annoying... But no biggie, for it wasn't a race anyway...![]()
Almost any bike will pull mine on the straights... so those guys were even more annoying for me than they might have been for you guys.
Most of it was just me not be agressive with passing though. I'd get stuck behind one person and slow down to wait, and someone else slower than me would then catch up to me, and they would be more agressive about passing than I was. So they'd pass me and whoever I was stuck behind on the straight, and then I'd get stuck behind them going into Turn 1.

I was putting it to the limiter in a lot of places. That's what it's there for isn't it?Originally posted by Mystery Squid
Likewise on most bikes passing the 7-fiddy... BUT, then again, I STILL didn't redline...
I specifically checked a couple of times, and I went no further than 11K. Or at least, that was the gauge told me...![]()
Kept it close to redline. A lot more power than I needed on that track.
if the limiter starts at the end of redline how are you missing any kick?Originally posted by Mystery Squid
Never really needed to redline it for anythingCrap, I hate to sound naive on this, but IF my rev limiter kicks in at 14 (the limiters kick in at the end of red zone right?), I wonder how much kick I'm missing out on?
I'm still not catching you? If it comes in at 14, you're getting all the kick between 11 and 14, where/what would you be missing?Originally posted by Mystery Squid
The "kick" (if any?) between 11 and 14....![]()
good point..please explain?Originally posted by hessogood

read a few posts up - he said he never got it up past 11k which I'm guessing is where the red-line starts, but he's saying if the limiter doesn't kick in until 14 he's missing on whatever part of the powerband is there.Originally posted by hessogood

Joe are there dyno charts of your bike so you can see what the powerband is and if you really are missing anything there?

Degs, I didn't get to talk to you at all, but did you recognize me on the track. Whatcha thing?
Hessogood,
the link for the next trackday on the 27
http://www.teamdaemon.com/trackday/
I can't make that one, its too close to my wedding. I was cutting it close at this one, just in case I hit the pavement and broke something. Also Penguin has a trackday on Sept 29, gonna try and make that one.
Degs,
I had a blast following you around on for a few laps. NESR's first trackday was awesome, got a lot of tracktime in. Can't wait for the next one.
