Hey, I'm planning a trip with a couple friends to Calabogie. Pretty much settled on Aug 28-29 (Sun-Mon, but they do have Sat/Tue too) and had a few Q's. Would be with Pro6 - never been, seems like usual rules.
Has anybody been up 2015 or 2016 and can comment on noise? I read thru a few older threads and it seems it shouldn't be a big deal as long as you don't have an obnoxious full system. Still true I hope?
I found good tips to bring Title/BoS/Reg and basic inventory of spares and gear just in case they try to bend us over coming back to the States. What do you guys do for non-titled race bikes?
Any one else from here that might be heading up?
Did June with SSR (mostly Fishtails crew). Noise will be no problem as stated above. Bring title and or reg for bike, passport. NOTE: Allowed 40 oz. of wine or liquor and or 24 beers at border- don't ask how I know this.
BTW- It's the best track you'll ever be on. Period!
I've been a number of times. I've only seen one bike ever turned back for sound and the includes lots of bikes with full race systems. My Ex Chaz Davies Aprilia RSV1000R passed with no problem and that bike is LOUD. You will definitely want to bring title or registration for any bike going either way. We got stopped going into Canada and they had us pull everything out of the trailer and wanted paperwork for all the bikes. That said its well worth the trip, one of the best tracks around.
The Older I Get,
The Faster I Was...
Sounds like my biggest problem is gonna be a non-reg, non-titled bike. Best I've got is BoS and VIN check from PD. You ever have folks in the same boat?
I thought it was totaled?
Why don't you man up and ride it yourself?![]()
i cheated the SV to pass sound test there back in 13 (i think). a few times people asked how it passed.
theres a couple turns that are real nut checks. fun track.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...
