Can anyone hook me up with a link for Cornerspeed's bike prep rules? I was surprised and had to do some impromptu safety wiring last time I went down there, I dont want to be surprised again.
Thanks.![]()
Welcome to Cornerspeed
Bike Preparation Requirements:
1. Bikes must have oil fill cap, oil drain plug and oil filter safety-wired.
2. Liquid cooled bikes must run water only or racing approved coolant only, no anti-freeze.
3. Remove mirrors, tape over all glass and lights. AND Tape over the speedometer. You do not need the speedometer on the racetrack. It is an unsafe distraction.
4. Tires must be Sport or Race compound with good tread depth. New tires are recommended.
5. Side stand and/or Center stand must be secured in the up position using safety wire or zip ties. We prefer that you remove it but it is not required. You are required to have the stands secured in the up position before going onto the racetrack.

That makes me worry about my tires a little....![]()
Almost done with the RC. If only I could find safety wire............... Argggggggg..
I am trying to get it done so the bike is 100% ready to roll come arrival. New CT2's arrived today!![]()
Coolant was drained and replaced with water. Oil is changed. Track plastic is ready to mount, Front cowl is taped, headlights removed and mounted up on bike.
Even took the bike around the block to check the forks and brakes to see if I installed everything right. Feels good so far. Brakes work great!!! Bike sounds sweet, cant wait to tear up VIR!!!

RIP A.B. RIP BEET, I Ride in Leathers because I would rather sweat than Bleed...
I'll have a roll of safety wire with me, if you need some Mike.
I just finished the majority of the DRZ prep. Got the stupid chain figured out, drilled everything for the safety wire, and changed the oil. I'm not going to do the coolant until I get down there, my bike doesn't hold that much, it has no fairings, and its looking like a cold ride down there.
New brakes, exhaust, chain, and a very inexpensive airbox mod
should have the DRZ....errr...putting slowly around the track.

I got as much done as I could on Saturday w/ Clayton. Changed Oil, oil filter, full front brake caliper & fluid cleaning (minus pads), fork oil & radiator flush.
Still gotta button everything back up... zip tie a few things, throw the body work back on, safety wire a few bits & find my brake lever & pivot pin.
