Just as a heads up, only 2 more days to register for $149.00!!
(which is obviously the cheapest full day of track time available)
Hi Mike,
Can you clarify exactly what needs to be done for bike prep? I am pretty sure what I need to do however, I can picture all the newbies taping and unplugging lights, removing mirrors, etc at the track that morning.
Also, are you guys going to have a confirmation page that show who has signed up?
Thanks,
Nathan
This is exactly my point. According to the website, I can ride to the track, go through tech with my lights, blinkers, brake light, mirrors, etc all untapped and still fully functional and go right onto the track. Am I missing something?
Headlights and brake lights are going to be distracting I think.

Pretty sure you will have to tape or disable your lights. Mike will clarify.

Mirrors will have to be removed and all lenses must be taped. This includeds head tail and turn signals.
Steven
I think if your headlight is glass it needs to be taped, plastic is ok and mirrors off

Hey Nate!
Here are the rules for bike prep (the website is still in progress, so please be patient with the site info):
ALL bikes MUST pass Technical Inspection (TECH) prior to admittance to the track. If you bike DOES NOT pass TECH, you will NOT be eligible to receive a refund..
Tires - MUST be in good condition. Sufficient tread is required to be able to last the day. We'll be looking for 75% of tread available for DOT tires, and 85% remaining for slicks - our tech inspectors will be judging this on an individual, bike by bike basis. We do have on-site tire service through Street and Comp and Bridgestone tires, so if your tires don't pass, you will have the opportunity to put on replacement tires to pass TECH.
Valve Stems - must have caps - preferrably metal caps, not plastic.
Brake/clutch levers must be in full working condition, and have the appropriate resistance when checked by Tech.
Steering head nut - must be securely tightened and not loose (....you'd be surprised, we've already caught 2 loose!)
Brakes - ample pad remaining, preferrably new pads, or close to it
Mirrors - must be taped (minimally) or removed (preferrably)
License plates - must be REMOVED completely!
Head/Tail lights/Turn Signals - must be taped completely with NO LIGHT SHOWING THROUGH. If possible, simply pull the fuses for these lights.
Center Stands We recommend, but do not require, the removal of center stands.
Wheel Balance Weights - must be well secured and taped over if possible.
All Bikes - MUST have a handlebar mounted kill switch/button, AND a self closing throttle in good working condition.
...same TECH rules as always

website has been updated to reflect the updated bike prep information
Woohoo, finally, got the day off for Sept's date!
Can someone tell me if I get any sort of confirmation notice that payment has been received and I'm good to go?...... Just wondering, I didn't see anything about it on the website.
