So as far as tracks go we have VIR and NHIS. Why is it I never see anyone posting about going to NHIS?
MSF RiderCoach
Huh Well I would like to know about it. Ive heard it was a dangerous track. Is that true?
MSF RiderCoach
Right on thanks

Calabogie is closer than VIR, I'm goin back up there in September.
i might want to go too. how much was it total? (trackday, room, travel)
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

Loudon is safe.......... compared to the highway.........
So are Tonystrackdays and Leanangle the only two companies that rent the track for sportbikes? Does Loudon have trackdays or what?
MSF RiderCoach
penguine race school does track days at NHIS. though it's mostly geared twords future racers, might be worth looking into if your interestead in that sort of thing.
louden is perfectly safe. just because the AMA won't even race there in the dry doesn't mean anything. i'm it's not like half the posters in the NESR pit area are walking around nursing broken bones or anything.

The one in September is a two day, August is three days. The people I'm going with are talking about the September days, I'm going to try for August. Driving up there for two days isn't worth it, IMO.
EDIT The TPM site says 2 days in September, Calabogie says 3 days. I think they're doing 3 days, it would be crazy for them to go up there for 2 days. I'll e-mail TPM. I would rather go in Sept. Threre's no shade and no paddock, and it was hot as hell up there last month.
Ok im still trying to understand when trackdays are at loudon. Do they have there own or does someone sponsor the event and rent the track?

If you look down, you go down. That may be fun at an orgy, but it sucks on a bike
Well Im just looking at Tony's trackdays and Its not what Im looking for. I dont need a lunch provided to me and what not. I just want to hit the track myself. All these places I see are asking $250 for a trackday. I was paying $150 in Florida because the track was just for motorcycles and nobody had to rent it out. Im not really willing to shell out 250 unless its a school

Have you checked out NESBA? Typically cheaper than Loudon, but you have to pay like $70 to join the club and than the regular track fee (usually $140 to $180). They run at Pocono and Summit Point, closer than VIR.... but not as nice as VIR either. Go to NESBA : Northeast Sports Bike Association, the website is pretty good and can answer any questions you have.
I cant go that far in a weekend.

Loudon is my only choice.

Welcome to New England, the vortex of entertainment.
well your not in FL anymore Toto. If you want to get onthe track cheap and turn a bunch of laps, take the penguin school, get a race license and run Friday practice. It's the cheapest track time you will find. Downside is.... its race practice, if you dont want to race or have the aspect of racing you may be uncomfortable there. If you want to turn a bunch of laps and like the controlled aspect of passing rules and instructors on the track, shell out the cash to Tony. One of the best track days out there.
Bottom line, your not getting cheap track time run like a track day at Loudon. Have to name your poison.
