I know there's one more day left to this event but I would like to know from those who went, how'd it go?

Here's the report. I was happy to see that the track days were very well run. No BS was tolerated. Beginner group only allowed passing on straights...Intermediate, passing on outside only...Advanced, 3 foot rule on passes.
I ran intermediate for the first few sessions, as my buddy didn't want to jump to advanced right away. It was fine, although too slow so we moved up at lunch. Advanced group was very fast, but courteous. No stuffing...no running people off the track. I was in the bottom 1/4 of the group on speed, and had no issues with passing. It was a very different experience from last October when I first ran the track on an Absolute Cycle day...I was out on cold tires trying to learn the lines and guys were stuffing me everywhere. I was even run off the track in the hairpin by someone.
NY Sportbike Club had a couple of unscheduled rider meetings to reinforce the rules...everyone is there to have fun...be courteous, etc. I was impressed at how they stayed on top of things. They walked a good line of clamping down on any unruly riders, yet recognizing that you might be out there with a buddy or two who you'll be pushing. Not at all paternalistic...yet safe.
There were a lot of crashes yesterday (more than Sat), but no one seriously hurt. I almost high-sided on the left-hander in the 1st chicane on cold slicks...I thought Pirelli's were sticky...
In general, two great days...great weather...great track. Looking forward to BostonMoto in September.

Good to hear another local option has cleaned up its act
Great day, NYSBC ran a good event. I like the open passing with 3 foot rule in Advanced group. I actually like to see the speed and lines the fast guys have. The NY Contingent is definately a diffrent group form the New England riders but still no problems. There were crashes but no fault of the organization, just lots of riders some on very big bikes (lots of 1K's) with little experience not to mention a really fast track. Would certainly ride with NYSBC agian.

I'm glad to hear your experiences were good! Hopefully, you'll make it to more NYSBC trackdays and we could run together.
Hey all - don't want to go into a blow by blow of the two days and bore everyone. That said, I would go back to a NY Sportbike Club event anytime. You can tell they are working very hard to overcome the bad reputation they have out there. From the pre event conversations to the actual days themselves, the guys running this were professional all the way. As for the track days, the days ran very smoothly. They had us on the track at 8:20AM both days. While there were some crashes and red flags, they kept the schedule very tight and moving. I don't recall ever thinking I was not getting enough track time. The groups seemed to be broken up pretty correctly, though I did see some freight trains going by in intermediate. Advanced group had some fast company, nobody looked out of place in that group. A good number of control riders who seemed to take their job seriously and watch what was going on. Aside from the stupid non-track day move I pulled on someone (and felt very, very badly about), I didn't witness anyone making questionable track day moves.
All in all, it was a great two days. We had killer weather both days, which is something this year. Monday there where only 28 riders there, it was like having the place to yourself. I think I went out in one session on Monday where the track went green for advanced and nobody was even on the grid. I rolled out solo for at least 1-2 laps, like my own private test !!
Long and short, NY Sportbike Club gets two thumbs up from me.
