FOR SALE: 2017 Yamaha FZ-07RR Race/Track Bike << EDR Performance
I'm still not sure how to justify 23k on something like this unless you had really deep pockets.
For that kind of money it seems heavy. I'm speaking with no knowledge of this class and how a SV compared with it . But it is new compared to the SV.
What are your thoughts on something like this?
BTW some of his builds are really nice! Would love one of his GSXR750's punched out
Put $10k into an SV and blow the doors off this thing.

When i went to MA in jersey this year i got to hang out with andy and AP motoarts. He is at the front of development on the fz07. His rider jason madoma almost took the championship this year. He was nice enough to go through his entire bike and explained everything he has in it and developed for the fz07. First off the bad is the factory geometry is total crap. You HAVE TO do adjustable trees to get any kind of decent numbers. He makes adjustable triple trees that also allows you to run the r6 inverted front and unlike sv's he said that the r6 front end is absolutely the way to go, none of that sv flexy frame/fork stuff people love and hate. The good is he is just scratching the surface of what that bike could be he said. It weighs less then the sv, and makes more power easier. He claimed that he had his bike easily making over 100hp to the wheel and with more development he is working on he claims there is still more to come. He said he has been working on sv's for years and its all been done and there is nothing left even in the new gen3 to work with where the fz07 is juuuuust starting to find what works and doesnt. Now price...... You can buy depending on what you want a fz07-R superbike from AP motoarts for around 25g. Thats alot yes but you get far more then what this other guy has on top of you get the adjustable triples and the r6 front end. I race and love my sv650 but after 2 days hanging out with andy and the ap motoarts team.......yes the fz07 is a sv killer

I rode a 690 Kramer and fell in love with it. That 790 has got to be sweet. I raced at NJMP in July, I got passed by a Paul smart Ducati on the front straight so quickly, I thought I was going backwards in time lol

The bike just felt solid to me like how a true race machine should. Way better then my sv does lol.

Dont forget the R5s , CCS should let the 790 in Lw Gp. As with anything in racing money can make anything go fast. But you still need to ride it. I am sure you put the handful of real fast guys in LRRS On anything and they would make it Go! I will never forgot Jeff Wood on his a stock Ex 500. 18s 19s I think...
I should have clarified better. I really wasn't speaking of this particular bike but the FZ07 as the new bike on the block I see it as a low dollar LW racer. I get that the Kramer is the IT bike to have, but it's also not inexpensive nor is it simple to have "limited supply ". The FZ is easy to have especially a wrecked one and parts are interchangeable like the SV.
Plus it's something that a true racer likes.
The idea of building it ,playing with setup and engine building trying to make it faster.
This is what I meant when I originally saw the FZ07.
I've seen a few builds but its it's still only a few unlike the SV that is still a serious racer.
Thoughts?
