Please do yourself a favor and do some research on NYSBC before signing up for one of their trackdays. Just look into them, and then make your own decision.

As a member of NYSBC over the past 3 years I can vouch for them. In 2008, '07, and '06 there has been alot of drama within' the club that affected its image. At the end of '08 the previous owner sold the rights to the club and stepped completely out of the picture. So far the '09 events have run flawlessly with no drama whatsoever. Incidents have been kept to an absolute minimum with very little track downtime. The new owners really have their act together and the club's only getting compliments from NJMP on how they've conducted themselves @ every event so far.
I had nothing against the previous owner of the club (he was a geniunely nice guy) but he didn't know how to run the club for shit!! Case in point: July 2007, Pocono East. Some guys from Band of Riders ran with the club and the event turned out to be a total clusterfuck that left a really bad taste in their mouths. I can't blame them for how they felt. It was a really crappy event with piss poor planning on the club's part. I assure you that this is NOT the case anymore. Like I said, since the transfer of ownership the club really has their shit together. Please check them out and see for yourself.

Thanks for the info. It seemes, looking at some of the forums (particularly wera) that a lot of the issues were safety related and spesifically to control riders not being qualifid or following the rules. Has it been like that this season?Originally Posted by madkaw

I ran with them twice so far this season and I did not see or have any issues concerning safety. They pretty much weeded out the kamikazee control riders and coaches that were not doing their jobs. The club has gotten a bit smaller because of this but they don't mind. When I spoke to some of the staff they said they'd prefer it this way for now so that things can be better kept under control. They want to grow eventually but right now that is not their main concern. Right now all they want to do is reestablish a club reputation that offers personal attention to each and every rider and maintain a safe environment while doing so.
DAMN! If I didn't have a family event I needed to be at Sunday I would have definitely gone down with you Manny.
I wish but unfortunately not. That damn thing called "work" keeps cutting into my fun time. I probably won't get a chance to run with them again until August.
If you want to go down Friday night, do the Saturday, and come back Saturday night I would be down for this in an instant Manny. I know it's not ideal but I have to be in NH Sunday early afternoon for my grandfather's 75th, but I will go down just to get a day in.
Damn! Well I can't do Monday anyway, would have been fun to do Saturday and Sunday though...ahh well. If anyone else wants to go down and do Saturday and make the haul back Saturday night PM me because I am itching for some track time.
Man I need somebody to come down with me so I can run Saturday...

I'll be there Sat and Sun...a weekend that doesn't conflict with work or my custody schedule. Imagine that. I'll keep an eye on Manny.

If anyone else is interested come on down.
Bill spoke to the owner today and had a great conversation regarding safety and the pervious shitty experiences people have had. So far all communication and dealings have been very professional.
We are told monday is less than half full... should be a ton of track time!
