Hey all,
Just a reminder that we'll be down in New Jersey riding on the Thunderbolt course at the beginning of May.
If you've already checked out the track, you know it's a blast. If not, this is a great time to do so.
I'm sure some forum members can post up their experiences about the place.
Anyway, as always, we run a program for first timers that eases you into things without a bunch of yahoos buzzing around you.
If you click the link in my sig file, that will bring you to our site with most of the answers... but feel free to post up questions here as many of our staff are members.
Thanks.![]()
ill be there!

I'll be looking for bike transportation going down. I'll meet up with everyone down there in the truck and drive myself and bike back.
Weekend in Baltimore for a Sox game on Sat.I don't want to leave the bike in the back of the truck in the area I am going to.

When you're not helping others... I bet there's going to be lots of corners where you don't even brake on that bike of yours!
For those of you that don't know, Paul was one of our original instructors from the beginning of Tonys Track Days (even before it was called TTD).
He took some time off to head up the 125cc GP class, and has come full circle to being an instructor for us again.
Welcome back, Paul!![]()
On a tard? - not even the end of the front straight into T1... T1 entry is pretty fast and the tard is coming into the braking areas at about 104mph max'd out.
FOr a Motard it may be T5. WIth the quick accerlation and quick turning though T3,4 - quite a head of steam can be had entering T5...but even there it's nothing like T3 at Loudon. ..
NJMS surface it rougher (course but verygrippy blacktop-especially in the rain!) compared to Loudon's (smooth/fine blacktop). That and higher corner speed can eat up tires though.
In the Rain Motard's rule/rock- especailly with the leant over grip of rain tires and the track surface.

Very few bumps, and a ton of grip!
The first time I thought I went into that decreasing radius right hander way too hot, I just layed it over, planted the knee and kept right on trail braking... hard.... fully expecting to push the front and run it wide.... it never pushed
Never in my life have I ever trail braked so hard/deep. It was awesome![]()
