Thanks Guys,
This time around I'm just looking for someone to take the bike down in 1 direction. I'm hanging out in B-more and do not want to take a trailer full of bikes and bikes in the back of the truck. I might have to do a lot of explaining why some people might not have bikes for their track day.

First time I got my knee down was at NJMP with TTD about a year ago... Since then I've done days with NESBA and STT in the southeast and I can definitely say that Tony puts on a program that is a level above other providers that I have experienced. I mean this in terms of the instructors, attention to riders, and overall professional/fun atmosphere.
Definitely planning on making it down to NJ again this year... Absolutely loved that track.

Two Quick things:
1 - Please check the PAID LISTS on the TTD website to ensure you are marked correctly (especially if you won a NESR/TTD raffle or give away). If something is not right, email me to get it straight. When you email me, please BE SPECIFIC and give me your FULL REAL NAME... not just your screen name (but give me that too!)
2 - Starting this year, we are going to use the FIRST CHICANE on Thunderbolt for Pit Out (getting onto the track).
There are two main reasons why we are changing.
- it gives the person on the track more time to judge that a rider is
coming out onto the track. They will get to see that person going through the first chicane while they are between turns 1 and 2.
- the rider coming onto the track will roll through the Turn 1 Chicane and now enter the HOT track between Turns 2 and 3 (the HOT chicane). This is a slower area of the track and should make the merge safer. The rider coming out of the pits does NOT use the normal entry line into the Turn 3 Chicane. In fact, they should go NO MORE than mid-track until after they enter the Turn 3 chicane. Once in the chicane, they should use the normal line.
Questions? Post up here and we'll help you out.

Tony,
I don't see how on the standard map showing the first chicane "The rider coming out of the pits does NOT use the normal entry into the Turn 3 Chicane.".
Do you have a more realistic map showing how this will work?
re-reading your first post on this, I now see you are saying ONLY pitout uses 1st chicane. So regular lapping uses the normal T1-T2.
But don't you think the distance from pitout to T3 will put you to about the same place for T3 entry?
I edited my post to include the word LINE.
I hope this is clear for everyone? If not, let me know so I can re-write it before more people see it.
Yes, riders on the HOT TRACK will NOT use the first chicane.
When you are on the HOT track, you are going pretty fast between Turns 2 and 3... far faster than those coming out onto the track.
While there is distance available to move way over to the left... there is no good reason to do so.
Let the riders on the HOT track have that line... at the Pit Out speeds, you can safely enter the chicane from mid track.

Perfect, Gino...thank you!
Again, it may not seem it, but the PIT OUT chicane is a slow area (not to mention you're probably on cold tires)
The riders on the HOT track are going around Turn 2 pretty fast, so when a PIT OUT rider comes out of the pit chicane... they should not go all the way left in the merge area.
The rider on the HOT track has to make a judgment call on whether to fall in behind the pit out rider, or go past him on the left.
FYI, this is how the AMA did pit out and it seemed to work quite well.
I'm thinking about racing on sunday.
Then TTD mon and tuesday.

Can't wait to try out the 525 on the track...
