Did my first trackdays last weekend at Whiskey Hill Raceway (sounds more badass than Palmer MP) Had a blast on an awesome new track. The GoPro tail mount helped me a lot. Monday night I went home and looked at the footage from the day and realized I was stiff as a board and needed to move around on the bike a lot more. Tuesday I focused on loosening up. This video is from Tuesday.
I felt pretty good for my first track weekend. Definetly need to work on smoother throttle control as well as dropping my inside shoulder on the turns. Feel free to nitpick my video, I'm open to any advice.
Just want to say thanks to Tony and all the instructors. Following John in beginner group helped me tremendously. Fantastic operation you guys have. Showing up solo was pretty intimidating but every rider and instructor I met made it worry free. Why can't people who don't ride motorcycles be as nice and helpful? Can't wait for the next one.
Lookin' good! Welcome to the "club"!
Be prepared to look under sofas and pick up pennies on the street to pay for the next TTD
