I think you may be on to something there......
So you mean to say that it doesnt work very good like that?![]()
And your problem is?

If the head is all beat to shit like that, something must have gotten into the cylinder, either that or it was pinging like hell. I think.
What caused all the damage to the plug? Are you going to pull the head?
Looks more like smashed plug to me.Originally posted by Rice-rocket1

I have a buddy of mine that can fix that, if your interested
WOW, I bet you knew when that let go!!!
What does the cylinder look like? With that amount of damage to the combustion chamber I'd look into a new head. It might be cheaper. Good luck

For every action there is an equal but opposite reaction - and sometimes a scar...
It was pretty obvious, luckily I was close to home at the time.
The cylinder looks Ok at first glance. I see a small nick at the very top (above the rings) that I am hoping will hone out.
I am looking into a head as well and you are correct it would be cheaper. The problem is I have well over 100 hours modifying this head to work with the 1100w bottom end and don't know that I feel like modifying another.
Heh, I remember talking to you about that monstrosity at the last trackday. I remember thinking, this guy is nuts, the first ever RF1117. Sucks it grenaded on you, but I suppose it wasn't exactly unexpected![]()
