Marquez Fans?

Any other Marquez fans? He definitely has his own style and a set of balls for his move on Lorenzo a few weeks back. He's been solid so far and has the potential to take it all. And Pedrosa is about to silence his critics too! Could be a Repsol 1-2 for the Championship this year

i remained neutral on him until i saw him perform. he has def impressed me. he doesnt let the mystique of the legends keep him from riding his ride. hes no super sic but hes a good replacement.
not sure how i feel about his "unfair advantage" of the removal of the rookie rule. it wouldve been fun to watch him whoop ass on something thats not a full factory ride.

What's the "rookie rule"? I just got into MotoGP February 2012 when I met my boyfriend, so it's my first full season this year. I have watched the past few years in review and loved Stoner last year! Was sorry to see him retire.

Last year I though he has a magic "Repsol" button (like NOS) when he basted past people on straights, took few races before I realized that it was all him!

Starting the year Spies came into moto gp there was a rule in place that no rookie could get on a full factory team. They had to ride with a satellite team for a year. Stupid rule and it should have never been put in place. This year they did away with the rule.

If you ask me it has something to do with it being a Spanish based series and Marquez being a Spanish rider but it was a dumb rule anyway.

I loved how Simoncelli was Rossi V2.0; personality, aggression and blooming skills. Marquez certainly has the skill and aggression, but I am still waiting for his ability to perform in front of the camera for me to care. Otherwise he's just another Stoner with nothing to endear him to me once he's done hosing down the umbrella girls standing around the podium.

too much politics i think in the series right now. too many rules. before you know it theyll have the factory drop another engine and bam - an all CRT grid in the future.

We were at the GP in Austin, guests of Repsol, trip of a lifetime!! My son Tom got a pair of Pedrosas knee picks signed! Very cool!!

Lay off on Pedrosa, he deserves it. Much more than the arrogant Lorenzo. Though he did win some respect when he handled the bump from Marquez quite sportsman. Whose Alex Marquez?
