if MM rides smart, he only needs to finish 4th if JLo wins. i know that MM will want the win, but realistically all he has to do is NOT crash. then he will get the championship

I'm WAY more excited for moto3. Top three riders are separated by 5 points or less, winner takes all. It doesn't get any better than this.

Statistically Marquez has better odds of winning the World Championship. He would have to place 5th or more and Lorenzo would have to win the GP for Lorenzo to win the championship. I started the season liking MM, but towards the end of the year I saw he had a bit of an attitude problem at Phillip Island. I would like to see Lorenzo win it because I just like him better. Now that Spies is gone from MotoGP I'm sticking with Lorenzo, Rossi, and Nicky.

while its impressive that JLo is as close as he is with missing an entire race, the stats dont lie. MM has only not finished on the podium twice. once was phillip island and the other was a crash that escapes me at the moment. he deserves it. he worked hard in his rookie year and shut a lot of people up.

A bit of an attitude? He took the penalty with no visible complaint. If anything his attitude towards the events at Phillip Island show is something to praise him about. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Kid is a stud, he brings a ton of entertainment to the show.

yes, 3rd is his worst finish. and hes only done that 3 times this year. 6 firsts and 6 seconds.

Remember Rossi is just on his first year on the Yamaha lets at least give him till the middle of next season to prove weather he has lost it or not. I watched him all year and he is not far off of the pace he just needs to find a little speed and we will have 2 Hondas and 2 Yamahas up front and hopefully some exciting racing next year!

i totally agree. hes proven he can win on the yamaha this year. im sure the bike is more structured around JLo than Rossi. i did notice that Rossi seems to be adopting the MM riding style a little this year.

Definitely. No one was consistently dragging elbow (besides the moto 2 guys) until Marquez came along. I like it.

If I recall there was a quote from rossi along with a picture with him saying it was the first and only time dragging elbow. Could also be contributed to upgrades in machinery.

ill watch the race tonite, but looking at the results seems to show that MM rode smart and had a solid 3rd. congrats to MM. crazy season. cant wait for next year with Rossi having a new chief mechanic and being more comfortable on the M1 and Hayden being back on a honda.
